a day at the bay

one windy friday at the bay to see the eagles and we almost didn't get the kids back home!

the wind was strong, the kind you can lean into and not fall over.

fun times for the kids, the eagles took a backseat on this visit!

old friends

it just doesn't feel like february is complete without a visit with our old migrating friends. it's so fun that they stop by every single year - it's always exciting to see them. too bad my camera was set on something strange, so the photos didn't really turn out - oh well!

what's for dinner?

have you ever seen this many fat quail all together in one setting. even though the window was dirty, i still had to get a shot of all these guys hanging out in the backyard ... that is one lovely dinner sitting right in front of me. but they all scattered away as soon as i snapped this photo. shucks!
